Experiential learning is the course of action where the individuals or the groups can learn through experience, and is exclusively defined as ‘learning through reflection on doing’
Experiential learning is different from instructive learning, where the learner plays a relatively submissive role or a steady role. It is almost similar with the learning processes like action, adventure, free choice, cooperative, and service-learning, but we cannot say that these all are similar with the experiential learning.
Many times the Experiential Education is compared with Experiential Learning, but while experiential education is considered in a broader values of education, it is the individual learning process. The experiential learning is concerned with more actual issues related to the learner and the context of learning. It requires self-initiative, an “intention to learn” and an “active phase of learning”.
